VESOCHO™ protein expresssion kit - FAQS

Q: The day before VESOCHO transfection, should I pellet and resuspend in fresh medium, or just split to 2 × 10^6 cells/mL?

A: Don’t pellet or do a full medium change. Simply split the culture to the target density in the existing medium. A full exchange adds cost and isn’t required; conditioned medium is optional, not necessary.

Q: With the VESOCHO Expression System, can I shake faster or slower than recommended?

A: It’s best to stick to the recommended speed and orbit for each vessel. Going faster can increase shear stress; going slower can reduce aeration/mixing—both typically lower expression. This sensitivity is even greater in plates, where the static–moving fluid boundary makes small speed changes impact yield more sharply.

Genetic Engineering

Our team of genetic engineers works on developing gene therapies for a variety of genetic diseases. We use CRISPR/Cas9 technology and other cutting-edge techniques to create therapies that have the potential to cure genetic diseases.
